Sewn Objects

Sew: To use a needle to pass thread repeatedly through pieces of fabric in order to join them together.

When you repair a hole in a shirt or other piece of clothing, you make it invisible. I related this idea of hiding, or false presentation, to actions that similarly disguise the truth, such as censorship. In "Sewn Objects" I purposefully disguised objects/situations and made them appear to have a different identity. For example, a bullet sewn in white fabric has characteristics of being soft, almost innocent, but the object itself kills.
